Pentecost which lasts until Nov 23rd follows the season of Easter. It is the longest season of the church year. Three colors symbolize Pentecost. Red for Pentecost Sunday. White for Trinity Sunday. Green the color for the remainder of Pentecost symbolizes fresh life and development. Pentecost occurs in the spring, with the rebirth of flora and fauna that reminds us of the beauty and wonder of our magnificent God. During the season of Pentecost, the Gospel readings focus on Jesus’ teachings.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. ~ Romans 15:13
