I have been a Lutheran all my life but have really enjoyed meeting people of many different faith backgrounds as the pastor of Joy. The diversity of others has enhanced my faith and the ways in which I experience God in my own life. I am a graduate of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina and I am the church planter of Joy serving here since 1998. It has been the honor and gift of a lifetime.
God created us to live in community with one another. Experiencing God’s presence together and proclaiming the Gospel, then taking it out into the world is needed more today than ever before. One of my favorite passages from Scripture is Psalm 133:1, “How very good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters live together in unity!” We need each other. The world needs us! I hope to see you sometime soon at church!
