7755 Main Street
Unit #2331
Houston, TX 77030

Continue to pray for Bill and Mary Troisi and Kelly Willenberg as they will be traveling back and forth to be with "the kids".  Our prayers are with you all.

Joy's Reformation Time Line

On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther, A Roman Catholic priest and professor of theology, took a step that, ultimately, was to impact all of Christendom and change the course of world history. On that day, after years of often agonizing study, prayer, and reflection, Luther posted The Ninety-Five Theses on the door of Wittenberg’s All Saints (Castle) Church. What Luther considered flawed teachings and abusive practices of Roman Catholic Church these propositions created a widespread call for change and reform in the church.  October 31, 2017, will mark the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.

Be sure to mark your calendars for Joy Reformation events
to take place leading up to October 31, 2017:

**Continue to sign up for the Stained Glass Mosaic Luther Seals.  Because of your interest in this event, we will have the LEB Glass Studio come to Joy instead of our having to go to Greenville.  The seals are $20 each and must be paid in advance to Becky at the church office.  Continue to sign up for Monday, October 2, 6:30 to 8:30.  These wonderful completed projects can be hung in your home as a reminder of our Lutheran faith.

**Our church is having a Reformation 500 Bookstore! The 500th anniversary of the Reformation is fast approaching!
